This beautiful Art Deco statue is made by French artist M. Leducq (1879-1955). He made various animal sculptures in the Art Deco period. The statue is made of zamak, dark patinated with copper-coloured accents with a marble base. There is nice movement in this statue, the bird balances on a wave. It is made in France between 1920-1949.
